It was finally time to get our outdoor table and chairs set up on the deck this weekend. Dining outside inspired this re-purposing project.
One of the things I love to do from time to time is hit the local thrift shops. Whether I’m on a mission to find a particular item or just there for a look-see, the chance that there might be a cast-off treasure lying in wait can be pretty exhilarating. Sometimes these finds are treasures in and of themselves. Other times the potential lies hidden and takes simply an inspiration and a small amount of effort to bring it to the surface.
I love to re-purpose items, as I did with this wine carrier which was transformed, with only paint and a new viewpoint, into a table caddy. A very handy way to carry various odds and sods from the house to the deck outside, and decorative on the table too.
