I went to a vintage sale this weekend and found a vendor with a box of handkerchiefs priced at $3.00 each. Before I knew it I had pulled out eight or so in various shades of pink and blue. In the end, the seller sold me ten for $1.50 each, without me even asking for a deal! I think they have the sweetest little prints. People don’t really use hankies anymore, and I probably won’t use them for their original purpose either, but I’ll think of some way to use them, probably for decorating. Perhaps I’ll hang one or two over a lampshade, or sew one onto a cushion. I also think that if I collected more they would make a very pretty quilt.
