Life Imitating Art

As soon as I saw this picture in the thrift shop I just loved it, the muted blues and creamy pinks. The blue bucket reminded me of a ceramic vase I have in the same shade. The roses were similar to ones I had in my garden. I knew right away that I'd like to make a still life inspired by the painting. But it wasn't until now that the roses were blooming and I was able to bring my vision to life.
