Mangosteen

Have you ever heard of a mangosteen? I hadn't. But now, thanks to a friend who lived in Indonesia for several years, I have not only been introduced to this unique fruit but I've also tasted it. Slicing through the tough purple rind, there's no hint of what you're about to find on the inside. Slimey and juicy to the touch, this white coloured fruit has a pleasant sweet taste.
