Making maple syrup taffy is so easy, delicious and fun! It's a great winter activity that children will love.
To make: Boil 1 cup of maple syrup in a pot on the stove, until the syrup reaches the soft-ball stage. To test, let a drop of hot syrup fall into a glass of cold water. If the syrup forms a soft ball at the bottom of the glass, it's ready. Pour a small amount in a line on clean snow or crushed ice. Roll syrup around a spoon or popsicle stick. Eat and enjoy!
