Well now, one of the things that I love to photograph is the facades of houses, their doorways, the architecture above the doorway, architectural details. Often these details are made from wood so it's such a happy discovery to see that it has survived the years, although sometimes in a rather dilapidated state. These two photographs remind me of the little gazebo my friend A. gave me. The weather has given it a rather lovely old-looking patina. Rather like the white fence in my garden. Perhaps the fence needs a coat of paint?
